Embroidery By Design was established in 1995.  Based in Perivale, West London, primarily set up as a large volume commission embroiderer serving the fashion industry. Most of our work was for high street stores and clothing catalogues.

Alongside this service we also supply embroidered workwear; promotional wear; corporate wear and leisurewear. Items such as polo-shirts; sweatshirts; fleece jackets; hi viz garments to mention but a few.

All of these items can be embroidered with your company logo or emblem. Our customers range from solo traders, small to medium sized companies right to the national companies as well as local clubs and schools.

Fashion embroidery was the foundation of Embroidery By Design, and it is as important to us today as it has ever been. Our modern hi-tech, state of the art, multi head machines allow us to produce large volume within tight timescales. Whilst our eye for detail allows us to undertake intricate embroidery on the finest fabric such as chiffon, nett, mesh and silks. We also specialise in embroidering onto Leather, Velvet, Knitwear,Towelling, Denim and Nylon Polyester.

Our modern machines enable us to reproduce your designs and logos to a very high detail finish. We use the best quality threads from all major suppliers to achieve this detail. All the threads we use are colour fast and (depending on the end use of your garments) we use Rayon for added lustre. Polyester and Cotton for durability. Metallic and Ombre (multi-colour) for special effects. 

  THE DESIGN CONVERSION

The design or logo that you require to be embroidered has to be converted to stitches, the conversion of this art work is called digitizing. For this we require some basic information: the material that the final embroidery is to be stitched onto,ie Leather, Poly-cotton, Silk etc.

We also require a good quality high resolution image as a jpeg or gif. This enables us to get detail. On some occaisions a letterhead would suffice.

If you do not have any of the above we have a library of 20,000 per digitized design which cover a huge range of subjects to which we can add  your individual text.

From a single colour text design to a multi colour complex design. The possibilities are endless the results are colorful.

    THE EMBROIDERY PROCESS

Having digitized your design, we then run of a sample on the embroidery machine, at this stage we can see how true to the original design the embroidery is, and if any alterations are required we then submit this for your approval. You can either come in to see the sample, or we can post or email this to you .Once you approve the sample, and are happy with the design it is then that we embroidery it onto the garments or panels. The design is then stored of file and is then be used for future repeat orders.
