About the Project

We were recently commissioned by Langlands and Bell, www.langlandsandbell.com the BAFTA award winning artists to embroider a piece for a forthcoming exhibition "The Past is Never Dead" exploring the architecture of the Slave Castles of the Ghanaian ' Gold Coast' opening at the Gallery 1957, Accra from 17 October - 3 December. 2019.

We embroidered the plans onto Black Velvet using Metallic Gold Lurex thread. The overall size of the finished panel was 1200mm x 1370mm, to achieve this size, we embroidered the piece in 5 fitting on our large format machine. The end result looked beautiful. Please see images below.
